Most people do not realise how much their breathing changes under stress.
When we are anxious, overwhelmed, emotionally tense, constantly busy, or spending long hours sitting and using screens, the breath often becomes shallow, fast, held, or restricted. Over time, this can influence the nervous system and contribute to how we feel physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Conscious connected breathing is the practice of intentionally breathing in a continuous, rhythmic pattern for a set period of time. This changes the way the body uses oxygen and carbon dioxide, increases body awareness, and stimulates the nervous system in a way that can bring emotions, tension, thoughts, and physical sensations to the surface.
